A native of Canada, Hank Snow is best known for his distinct yodeling. He was a fancy dresser - when he performed it was in lavish and sequin-studded suits. An accomplished songwriter, Snow was a regular at the Grand Ole Opry in the 50's. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1979. His best song, in this writer's opinion, was featured in "The Last Picture Show" based on a book by Larry McMurtry and directed by Peter Bogdanovich in 1971.

A Scale To Measure Love Lyrics

Hank Snow

Recorded by Hank Snow

If I had a scale to measure love
Like a clock can measure time
And we put our love upon that scale
Would your's weigh as much as mine

Of late is seems your thoughts are far away
I doubt if you hear half the things I say
I be hurt if I knew who you were thinkin' of
I'm so glad there's no scale to measure love

Your kisses always thrilled me at the start
But now I wonder are they from your heart
I'd be sure if it'e me that you were thinkin' of
If I could find a scale to measure love
